The GATTACA era is approaching?

James Watson genome has been sequenced. It is the first personal genome that has been sequenced for a relatively low price (less than 1 million dollars) and in a really small span of time (only two months!). His genome showed predisposition to cancer. He’s now 79 and he had skin cancer. He doesn’t want to know if he is predisposed to Alzheimer too. Will we have soon in the future medical treatments designed on our DNA? Will insurance companies let us pay less or more depending on our predispositions? Is the eugenic project finally started? Is your genome good enough to be selected for the future generations?
