Mummenschanz: a psychedelic circus on the stage

Four legs living beings morphing into birds in front of your eyes.  Worms loosing their head balloons. Windows trying to fit with their frames. Giant rocks rolling off the stage. Toilet paper men crying out all their piece of sheets.  This evening at Mummenschanz in Theater 11 has been quite psychedelic. Our first Swiss theater experience has been for sure original, and often funny. Go to watch Mummenschanz’s “3×11″ when they come to your city: you’ll not forget it!

In Europe, Italy is first …

.. for the number of people dead on the job per day. 4 people (four!) find death on the job everyday in the Bel Paese. Italy is in a really bad moment, but soon everything will change. After the “proud to be fascist woman”, Daniela Santanche’, also her good friend Paola Ferrari will run to win the next elections. With two decadent women like these Italy will flower again! Flavio Briatore could choose soon to be candidate at the Senate to represent the “Italians abroad”.

When I see which people are chosen to govern Italy in the next years, a strong and thick feeling of disgust pushes to come out of my throat. In the picture, Daniela Santanche’ and Paola Ferrari.

Keep your amygdala cool, man!

When your amygdala is out of control, you can experience aggressive reactions towards problem solving situations. If, in addition to this, your brain has a small anterior cingulate cortex (ACC), not only you get easily angry, but you even stay angry for a long time. The scientific explanation is that ACC controls your amygdala to regulate your behavior. If these two parts of your brain are not good connected nor balanced, you look like Donald Duck quite too often. By the way, from today I can blame my probably small amygdala for my easy bad mood

Fascism raising up in Italy and Russia

Italy and Russia are sadly more similar than what you think. I don’t speak about beautiful women today, but about neo Nazi, fascism and xenophobia.

A few days ago in Italy, the woman candidate to become Italy’s president said to journalists ” I am totally proud to be fascist. I am Catholic, and for a Catholic believer the absolute bad is not fascism, but the Devil” The name of this unstable woman is Daniela Santanchè and… no, she was not led to prison after what she said. She is still running to become Italy’s president.

Sergio “Jabba the Hutt” De Gregorio

Sergio de Gregorio e’ un altro candido esempio di “uomo” italiano “impegnato”. Divenuto senatore grazie a Di Pietro, volta subitamente gabbana e diviene presidente commissione difesa grazie al partito del Berluska. Quindi fonda un partito tutto suo in riferimento al movimento “Italiani nel mondo” (fondato per promuovere l’immagine d’ italia nel mondo!) a cui nessuno aderisce: non riesce neppure a partecipare alle amministrative nel 2007 in quanto un terzo delle firme che raccoglie non sono valide (?). Putroppo Jabba si ripresentera’ alle prossime elezioni del 13 aprile con Forza Italia. Dio voglia che non riesca nel suo malefico intento di rappresentare anche me nel mondo! E cmq avete ragione. Non si assomigliano per nulla. Jabba non ha gli occhiali!

Loranablog will soon reach the 200,000 contacts. 619 posts collected for 1,974 comments published. Most of what I wrote can be grouped as “information” (mainly scientific), “criticism” (mainly political) and just “news about us” (to stay in touch with you, dear friends). Why should Loranablog goes on? Because if (and I am sure it happened) any of what was here written made you thinking about it, then Loranablog reached its aim. Loranablog: food … for your brain.

Soon no bald people anymore?

If you’re bald, probably both your P2RY5 genes carry a mutation, thus causing your P2RY5 protein being not functional. This protein can detect a fat molecule, called oleoyl-L--lysophosphatidic acid (LPA). In hairy people, like me, LPA can still bind the protein, the protein can switch on some signal cascades and hairs grow. In some friends of mine this process could be arrested . Now that researchers in Bonn university understood how the thing works, you’ll probably gain your hair back soon!!!

Antonio Marziale: il paladino dei bambini del popolo delle liberta’

Antonio Marziale infine non si e’ candidato per alcun partito. La sua decisione non puo’ che fargli onore. Lavorare in difesa dei bambini ed essere parte di un qualsivoglia partito rendeva a mio parere il suo operato dubbio.
Questo post viene quindi “cancellato” , se non completamente rimosso se cosi’ confermato dai suoi collaboratori.

Il lavoro di Marziale viene sempre rappresentato come necessario e utile a salvaguardia delle giovani menti italiane. Se guardate sul suo sito la cronologia delle battaglie del suo Osservatorio dei diritti dei minori, vi sembrera’ logica la triste fine del nostro eroe, candidato oggi dal Berlusconi nel PDL “visto che sin dal ’94 sono politicamente da quella parte – dice Antonio”. Fin dal ‘94!?!? Il lavoro di Antonio Marziale diventa da dubbiamente utile a dannoso, in quanto politicamente ideologizzato. Il Marziale, “difensore dei bambini”, senza problemi ammette di essere da lungo tempo irretito dall’imbonitore Silvio Berlusconi. ….
