.. and in particular: of ozone pollution you will die. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) informs that “exposure to ozone for less than 24 hours is probably a cause of premature mortality”. Less than 24 hours! “The oxidative stress promoted by ozone into lung tissues causes inflammation, exacerbates asthma and may also be a cause of premature death”, this is what is written on ScienceNOW today. Deadly effects are mainly observed in elderly people. For effects of prologend exposure to ozone on young people we need to wait further researches.
