First impressions on my new Canon EOS 450D
- It is incredibly light and fast
- 12.2 Mpixels give pictures really high definition (click on the post picture and zoom it - look for the people on the streets!)
- The color palette is magnificent
- Menus and setup are very intuitive (I had already a EOS 300)
- Battery recharging is fast (2 hours)
- Flash dosage is accurate
- I’ve to buy a USB 2.0
I found the joy of having a reflex camera again, without the negative side effect of expensive develop in photo studios! Thank a lot Babbo (non Natale). Next week I will get also the EF 70-300mm, f/4-5.6 IS USM. It will then be hard to find time to go to work ![]()

I’m considering purchasing this same camera (Canon 450d) and I want to take wide shots like the one you have posted above. What lens did you take this picture with? I was just wondering if the one that comes with the camera, the 18-55mm, is capable of a wide shot like this or if I need to get a special lens for that purpose. I don’t know much about SLR but I love taking pictures, and have owned several point-and-shoot cameras (including my current canon sd950is which I love). Thanks for any help! Feel free to email me directly

Exactly Lisa, it was JUST the 18-55 lens provided with the kit. So, go on and buy it: I am completely satisfied with my Canon 450d.
