My first bird shooting in Switzerland

May 24, 2008

Today has been an exciting day. Weather was not so good and not so many people were at the Katzensee, close to Zürich: a perfect occasion to shoot some birds without being annoyed. The first one I got is a wonderful Ardea cinerea. After it an Anas platyrinchos came into my viewfinder. To finish the day I shot a Passer domesticus, just for fun. Quite a good day today! I love my 70-300 mm zoom objective! In the picture: the exquisite steak of ostrich my wife cooked when i went home.

Are you scared by global warming? You’re not right

May 24, 2008

In fact, you’re probably left wing. Interesting survey in US: Republicans and people with no knowledge on global warming are less concerned about the problem. Is it because:

- Republicans are more religious and tend to think God more then human being have power on planet Earth changes (so, nothing to worry about it).

- Republicans are closer to industry and do not believe what green-party scientists declare

- any other idea?
