Weesen – Walenstadt: from dawn ’til dusk on the Walensee

What a nice daily hiking today on the north side of the Walensee. 12 brave men and women who managed to wake up before the sunrise, 12 hours of tough and beautiful paths through colorful autumn forests. No cold, no fatigue, no wine could stop them! I love it when a plan comes together.

Expovina 2009 Zurich

This year we excluded Italy, Spain, Chile, Argentina and most of France. We surely like many wines from these countries, but we hardly managed last years to try something else So, this year we focused mainly on Germany, Austria ans Switzerland and we’ve been very positively surprised by:

Italian killer cops appreciated by Italian government? Stefano Cucchi’s death

Again, disgusting news involving Italian police, drug, torture and death. Another guy, Stefano Cucchi, has been tortured and beaten to death possibly after being put in jail, waiting for a process on drug consumption. In Italy politicians can have cocaine parties, while citizens are killed because of small amounts of drugs. Be careful if you go to Italy for holidays, you could be the next one falling down the stairs in the jail, breaking your spine, your skull, your arms and legs, your spleen… Some Italian ministers declared they fully trust the way Italian police works. They said exactly the same after the G8 in Genoa.

My Nokia 6700 classic review

After 1 month I used it both in Europe and USA, I can say:

- Call quality and voice quality is ALWAYS excellent
- Where many other mobile phones do not find the network, my Nokia 6700 ALWAYS does
- When I have now a plastic mobile phone in my hand, I really appreciate the metal shell of mine
- The GPS is quite slow to find satellites from time to time, but it brought me where I needed with the free maps you can download online
- The 5MP camera is ok, but i prefer my Canon EOS 450D
- I am positively surprised by the MP3 audio quality, but probably because my last phone was very old
- There are for sure longer lasting batteries than this one, but this one is still ok: I’ve to recharge approx. every 3 days.
- Very useful the possibility to recharge the phone via USB
- The keypad is not the best; it is true that the last line is quite small: this is the most annoying feature of this mobile phone. Nevertheless, you CAN write SMS with one hand only.

So, if you need a reliable and solid phone for excellent quality voice calls, this is it!

Aspartame kills? For real?

Finally some doubts about aspartame as food additive are coming out on mass media. It is some years I warn my friends about the danger of aspartame. However, I have been very rarely successful convincing them that aspartame is bad. They go on drinking Cola Zero, Cola Diet and eating diet products. Take care of your brains, friends. Hi tech jobs, job careers: over with it. I am fed up with the kind of results my job produces. Today we were by Ballenberg and we enjoyed so much being Schweizer Bauer for a day. EMERGENCY candidato Nobel per la Pace 2010

L’idea non e’ di Loranablog, bensi’ di Ettore Lomaglio Silvestri, che ha scritto sul nostro blog qualche giorno fa:

” Sono convinto che la candidatura di Silvio Berlusconi non farebbe altro che offendere il Comitato di Oslo e rendere una burla il Premio Nobel. Io, insieme a decine di migliaia di cittadini italiani siamo convinti che l’unica vera candidata sia Emergency tanto da aver creato un gruppo su Facebook che ha posto però come principio fondamentale la ricerca della via che consente una concreta realizzazione di questo nostro sogno. Infatti sostenere una candidatura per un Premio Nobel è cosa giusta e doverosa, ma improduttiva se nessun presentatore qualificato si faccia carico di inviare tale candidatura al Comitato Norvegese del Premio Nobel per la Pace. Visitando il sito ufficiale del Premio Nobel ho scoperto che possono essere presentatori qualificati i Membri del Parlamento di ciascuno Stato. Ho quindi contattato i deputati e senatori miei amici, e mi ha risposto immediatamente il sen. Alberto Maritati. The banality of my sex life

I do not have orgies with prostitutes. I do not take cocaine with transvestites before having sex and I do not even pick them up. I do not have sex with girls 50 years younger than me and I never went overdose while having a transgender in my bed. For being Italian, I feel like being older than 70 … well, I cannot even say this, now.

I wonder if Italian politicians / VIPs have been always so liberal or if something changed in the last years …

The age of stupid: somebody should start jumping off the cliff

Stupid seem to be a fair amount of our population: even a movie was made on them. I can trust this movie as I also meet stupid quite often on my blog. They usually write things like Mother Nature love us, God created this planet as perfect, we are the Chosen ones we have not to worry, the ones having a shitty life deserve it and so on.

If this link still works, watch the Age of stupid. Better, rent it. Fairly enough, this movie is not a catastrophic sci-fi: it is a documentary on past and present situations. Make this movie watched: maybe after it less people will care about their own square of sand while the tsunami approaches..

Italia, un Paese governato dalla mafia?

Alla fine cio’ che si temeva, cio’ che si sospettava, e’ divenuto di pubblico dominio. Lo Stato italiano, ricattato dalla mafia, cede e concede. Come in un brutto film, dove il cattivo vince.

Chi ha lavorato onestamente e’ stato fatto saltare in aria. Chi ha avuto paura ha piegato se stesso e tutto il sistema al ricatto mafioso. Ergo, l’Italia e’ un Paese governato dalla mafia? Ma allora perche’ alle elezioni, invece di PDL, PD, IDV e compagnia bella non abbiamo una lista di capifamiglia, capibastone, picciotti e uomini d’onore? Sarebbe molto piu’ onesto.
