Movimento 5 Stelle: una bella vittoria.

Parlavo qualche tempo fa con un amico, ex comunista, ex diessino, ex pd – una sfiga essere di sinistra in Italia, si e’ solamente “ex”  – quasi quanto essere interista … gli chiedevo:  “ma tu che ancora risiedi in Italia – chi diavolo voterai?” Lui mi rispose: ” il Movimento 5 stelle di Beppe Grillo“.  Mi era sembrata quasi ingenua la sua risposta.

Oggi sono contento che insieme a lui abbiano votato cosi’ tante persone per questo movimento, l’unica novita’ in mezzo al putridume politico italiano. Chissa’ cosa succedera’… Almeno la vergogna De Luca non e’ passata, grazie a Dio!

What will be the name of the next pandemic starting Autumn 2010?

Next year I will be prepared: I will buy pharma industry stocks in August and I will become very rich in December. For the time being, what do you think will be the pandemic of the coming year? I remind you that cows, birds and pigs have been already used. I propose  “Fish Flu”

What if one day you, male reader, wake up into a female body and get sexually harassed by your male friends (who find you quite attractive)?

This is what happens EVERYDAY to thousands, if not millions, of American … frogs. Annually, 80 million pounds of atrazine are applied to USA fields alone. Atrazine moves with rainfalls as far as 1,000 kms from the point of application, thus contaminating urban areas, too. A few ppb (part per billion) are sufficient to alter hormonal functions in reptiles, amphibians, fishes, birds and human (cells). I wonder if what happens to frogs will / is also happening to human beings. Maybe it just needs some more time. Luckily, amphibians are sooooo far away from mammals in the evolution tree.

Qui prodest (Chechen) terrorism?

Two brain-washed killer women blew themselves up in Moscow underground this bloody Monday morning. Around 40 people were killed. “Chechen terrorists”, the Russian government promptly declared.
Irina Filatova from the Guardian.co.uk opened my brain early today, read what was in and wrote it down before me: “[…] the shape of things to come [after the attack]. More xenophobia on the part of the population, which would make any effort by human rights campaigners in the Caucasus even more difficult. More attacks on minorities: Caucasians and other non-Russians in Russian cities and towns. Tighter security measures at every possible turn. More police patrols checking ID documents of every dark-haired passerby. A tighter squeeze on the remnants of independent media and NGOs. Tighter control over the use of the internet, and more surveillance of individual citizens. And certainly, a new upsurge in the popularity ratings of the prime minister, which had started to sag a bit in recent months. Will all this make Moscow underground safer? Absolutely not.”

Unofficial estimates range from 25,000 to 50,000 dead or missing, mostly Chechen civilians just in the second Russian-Chechen war. Around 1200 are the civilians killed by Chechen terrorists. A change in politics is highly required on both sides.

VSDs, female emancipation and male d-evolution

Before reading on:

- I have nothing against VSDs (very short dresses)
- I am not a frustrated old misogynic man
- I appreciate spring time

However, the impact of VSDs on male mentality should be object of serious studies. Go for a walk on the pedestrian /shopping area of your city on a sunny Saturday afternoon.

What do you think guys are speaking about? Girls? Fashion? No, just about asses. And asses. And asses again.

If on one side female emancipation is for sure a victory and women must be free to wear what they want, are you girls aware of the effects that your stretchy, extremely short dresses / skirts have on male brains?

I bet many guys do not see anymore the girl behind the ass, like the pink (male!) rabbit of that famous fashion house.

Well well, what about feeling the director of this movie spied much part of your teenager time? Sentences, behaviors, reactions, atmospheres. Amazing… I suppose Xavier Dolan filmed something he experienced very closely, because 80% of the anecdotes in his movies are real life of, I believe, every son grown up with a divorced mother. Except for becoming homosexual

Waters over a troubled bridge

From several months I live just like a beast.

Day by day.

The past is forgotten, the future is dark,

the present is boring.

Did I smash myself against the wall of my incapacity, or is it the usual result of flying too high?

Days, weeks and months pass like the water under a rotten bridge: the boring stream does not change its path, while bridge’s fate runs fast towards the inevitable collapse. I imagine that day, when waters will jump over the temporary ruins and remove one by one the debris of the fallen bridge.

To go on flowing, down to the sea, like if no bridge ever existed.

What will I think the day of the fall? Gratitude? Emptiness? Sadness? Hope? I suppose it will depend on the weather. A rainy, grey day would be the perfect companion to that final moment:

from water to water.

But how difficult would it be to fall on a sunny spring day, when bricks get dry and harder, flowers blooms out of the old cracks and life seems to have a meaning.

Only time will tell.

CARGO 2009: Switzerland in space

Aliens, Matrix, Solaris (Tarkovsky) and 2001. Well mixed and presented, except for the last 30 minutes, when too many useless happenings try  to give this movie a Hollywood identity. Nevertheless, it was appealing to watch woods and houses on planet Reha  .. so Swiss style

4% visible, 96% dark matter and dark energy

What the Cosmic Evolution Survey (COSMOS) showed recently should shock our minds, shake our bodies and destroy our psychical stability.

What we are, what we touch, what we see is 4 (four) per cent of what makes out the Universe. The rest is dark matter (22%) and dark energy (74%). Although we do not distinguish a damn thing in the darkness, this “obscure energy” slows down galaxy growth and distorts the image we get from the farthest galaxies.
