Ιθάκη

Σα βγεις στον πηγαιμό για την Ιθάκη,
να εύχεσαι νάναι μακρύς ο δρόμος,
γεμάτος περιπέτειες, γεμάτος γνώσεις.
Τους Λαιστρυγόνας και τους Κύκλωπας,
τον θυμωμένο Ποσειδώνα μη φοβάσαι,
τέτοια στον δρόμο σου ποτέ σου δεν θα βρεις,
αν μεν’ η σκέψις σου υψηλή, αν εκλεκτή
συγκίνησις το πνεύμα και το σώμα σου αγγίζει.
Τους Λαιστρυγόνας και τους Κύκλωπας,
τον άγριο Ποσειδώνα δεν θα συναντήσεις,
αν δεν τους κουβανείς μες στην ψυχή σου,
αν η ψυχή σου δεν τους στήνει εμπρός σου.

Να εύχεσαι νάναι μακρύς ο δρόμος.
Πολλά τα καλοκαιρινά πρωϊά να είναι
που με τι ευχαρίστησι, με τι χαρά
θα μπαίνεις σε λιμένας πρωτοειδωμένους,
να σταματήσεις σ’ εμπορεία Φοινικικά,
και τες καλές πραγμάτειες ν’ αποκτήσεις,
σεντέφια και κοράλλια, κεχριμπάρια κ’ έβενους,
και ηδονικά μυρωδικά κάθε λογής,
όσο μπορείς πιο άφθονα ηδονικά μυρωδικά,
σε πόλεις Αιγυπτιακές πολλές να πας,
να μάθεις και να μάθεις απ’ τους σπουδασμένους.

Πάντα στον νου σου νάχεις την Ιθάκη.
Το φθάσιμον εκεί ειν’ ο προορισμός σου.
Αλλά μη βιάζεις το ταξείδι διόλου.
Καλλίτερα χρόνια πολλά να διαρκέσει
και γέρος πια ν’ αράξεις στο νησί,
πλούσιος με όσα κέρδισες στο δρόμο,
μη προσδοκώντας πλούτη να σε δώσει η Ιθάκη.

Η Ιθάκη σ’έδωσε τ’ ωραίο ταξείδι.
Χωρίς αυτήν δεν θάβγαινες στον δρόμο.
Άλλα δεν έχει να σε δώσει πια.

Κι αν πτωχική την βρεις, η Ιθάκη δε σε γέλασε.
Έτσι σοφός που έγινες, με τόση πείρα,
ήδη θα το κατάλαβες οι Ιθάκες τι σημαίνουν.

Il solare costa meno del nucleare! Ma com’e’ possibile!? Di sicuro NON in Italia!

Vuoi dire che il Prrrresidente Berlusconi, il termovalorizzato Veronesi, la signora Marcegaglia, tutta la bella ggente di regione Lombardia, Veneteo, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio e tutti gli amicicci principalmente del Popollo delle Libberta’ ci hanno detto frescacce fino ad ora sulla convenienza del nucleare? Ma … ALLORA … non ci si puo’ proprio fidare piu’ di nessuno. Oppure devo pensare che e’ il New York Times che le spara grosse? Adesso quelli del Popollo ci verranno a dire che non c’e’ abbastanza sole in Italia   Ignoranti o disaccorti?

Know “death”, know the meaning of life.

The knowledge of “death” is the strongest trigger to human evolution.

Do animals understand the concept of “death”? I have in mind those three foxes shot down in a garden in England a few years ago, after one of them killed the cat of the Lord. The three foxes were shot one after the other from a long distance, leaving several seconds in between the shots, but none of them seemed to realize the difference between sleep and death of their companions.

So do my fishes. The oldest male fish became aggressive in the last months. All the youngest had to hide themselves to avoid his rage. The old died yesterday, but as long as I did not remove his corpse today, fishes still stayed hidden (now it’s time for big parties in my aquarium, it seems).

Of course, I have in mind those dogs watching the gravestones of their owners for several days after their death. But do these dogs understand “death”, or just become sad because of the absence of the human they loved?

To my opinion, animals do not understand the concept of “death”. Humans do. And if you try hard to imagine how would your life be without the concept of “death”, you probably would see yourself living like an animal.

Whoever gave our hominid ancestors or however the concept of “death” was given to us, it has been a very powerful gift. The scary deadline of “death” makes human beings what they are today, in the good and in the bad, but strongly pushed to do something out of this life before it ends – except if somebody else, usually a priest, gave you the fallacious knowledge of “life after death”

Le strisce blu invadono Milano

Milano, come tutte le grandi città, ha sempre avuto il problema del traffico e dei parcheggi.
Diversi anni fa il Comune di Milano decise di regolamentare la sosta nel centro storico e negli
“assi commerciali” con strisce di colore giallo o blu:
- le strisce gialle evidenziavano gli spazi riservati ai residenti dotati di apposito contrassegno
- le strisce blu delimitavano aree in cui la sosta è consentita a pagamento per brevi periodi di tempo

Questo sistema doveva servire a:
- garantire la sosta ai residenti delle aree con maggior afflusso di pendolari e/o clienti
anche se in verità la garanzia non c’è mai stata
- incentivare la sosta breve per aumentare la disponibilità di posti auto liberi
- disincentivare l’uso delle vetture nel centro della città
- migliorare l’ambiente (questa è un’affermazione che fa sempre effetto)

Tutto questo in origine.
Poi il Comune si è accorto che la sosta rendeva soldi e che le multe rendevano ancora di più.
L’estate scorsa, quando la gente era in vacanza, ha deciso di:
- aumentare del 33% il costo della sosta
(che nel centro è passata da 1,50 Euro/l’ora a 2,00 Euro/l’ora senza che nessuno si lamentasse !!!)
- far pagare 30 minuti di sosta anche se la sosta effettiva dura 1 minuto (Sosta Milano elettronico)
- aumentare il costo del Sosta Milano elettronico da 50,00 Euro a 100,00 Euro l’uno.
- estendere la sosta a pagamento anche ad aree non centrali.

Questa estate poi siamo arrivati al ridicolo:
sono comparse le strisce blu anche nella mia zona, all’esterno di quella che viene da tutti chiamata
la circonvallazione esterna !!!
Sono arrivati a disegnare strisce blu anche in strade chiuse, semi abbandonate e senza attività commerciali !!!
I vantaggi per i cittadini in queste aree, ve lo garantisco, sono nulli
dato che i posti auto, seppur non abbondanti, non mancano !!!

Il Comune di Milano dovrebbe ridurre i propri costi invece di cercare nuovi introiti.
Ed i cittadini dovrebbero chiedere alla propria amministrazione delle motivazioni valide
per queste iniziative e non accettarle senza battere ciglio.

Well, probably Facebook users will manage better to organize a critical mass to support a ban against oil drilling in the Mediterranean sea.

I read just today that BP has since 2007 the rights to open 5 (FIVE!) sea bottom drills just offshore Libya. Can you imagine if something like the Gulf oil spill starts in the Mediterranean sea, what will happen to North African and European economy and environment??? The post picture shows the size of 5x Gulf oil spill in the Mediterranean sea.

Let’s propose Mediterranean governments to ban ANY oil drill in the Mediterranean sea now, before it is too late!

Mozzarelle blu e gamberetti fosforescenti: trends culinari del nuovo millennio

Dopo l’annosa questione dei gamberetti che “si illuminano al buio” – sui quali c’e’ da far ancora molta luce, le mozzarelle blu “invadono” il mercato italiano anche quando prodotte da Granarolo (contaminate da pseudomonas fluorescens). Interessante che Granarolo debba comprare il latte dai tedeschi per fare le mozzarelle “made in Italy” , non trovate? Difendo al 100% la politica svizzera che si fa i “formaggi suoi” con il latte di produzione propria.

NB La Coldiretti afferma che in Italia il 64% del latte (!) e’ importato. In Svizzera solo il 5.2% dei prodotto caseari proviene dall’estero.

N.B.2 La Granarolo, come potete leggere nel commento postato a questo post, smentisce di avere usato latte non italiano per le mozzarelle 100% italiane e smentisce che alcune sue mozzarelle siano diventate blu. Una buona notizia.
