Nostalgic end-of-summer weather, 16 kms walk from Rigi Kulm to Vitznau. Don't miss the Felsen path on the Rigi!
Panorama pictures for slow Internet connections are here. If you have hi-speed connection, click on each link below, wait for loading, click once on the picture : move mouse to pan and rotate wheel to zoom.

A couple of good friends, tasty products directly from Swiss French farmers, charming ruins from the Roman Empire and the ever changing colours of Lake Neuchâtel.
Do you need more? 25°C weather, sun and crystal clear water by the end of September
– and of course our pictures!

A casa!

So, tonight 23.9 or tomorrow, 26 of us could be smashed down by one of the 26 fragments from the UARS satellite, when they survive their fall to Earth. Fuzzy statistics announced that the probability of one person to be hit a by (one?) of these fragments is 1:3200 – which sounds to me QUITE high.
Therefore, let’s bet on it! I bet 10 CHF I will be hit – in case I win, please support the hospital where they will bring my pieces
PS
In the fortunate case “some” Italian politicians will be hit by the fragments, too, I donate the prize.

On the same PC with double boot, with the same Broadcom BT dongle, I can easily pair and connect my Galaxy S i9001 with Win XP 32. With Win7 64 I cannot, although several “solutions” are presented online. None worked. No PC running Win7 64bit can connect with my Android phone. Well, that’s annoying.

Today during a work break I made the mistake to open Repubblica.it online. A quarter of the page was used for a flash animation showing sexy short clothes worn by very young looking models. I tried to explain my colleagues I could care less about Prada advertisment. I hope I was convincing enough, as they thought I was surfing on a pedopornographic website. Swiss mentality or Prada soft-porn?

Cows look like peaceful animals, chewing grass all time and having a nap in the warmest time of the day. However, they did not choose being so. The huge amounts of grass they need to sustain their masses oblige them all day long head to the ground, making out their job to survive.
So you are, maybe. On the way to work with your head down, watching the ground. Behind your desk, at the coffee pause, waiting for the end of the day. To finally “relax” on a sofa in the night in front of television. All day long doing your job – to survive.
But you were born human, not cow, as long as you are reading this post!
