Stardust is a 2007 fantasy film directed by Matthew Vaughn. The film is based on Neil Gaiman’s novel of the same name,
illustrated by Charles Vess, and stars an ensemble cast including Michelle Pfeiffer, Claire Danes, Rupert Everett, Peter O’Toole,
Robert De Niro and Charlie Cox.
Finally a movie where special effects don’t overwhelm the story.
We found this movie very appealing. Stardust isn’t a children’s movie. It’s a movie for anyone, of any age, who believes in magic.

Dear Editor of Mail online, I write you about the Matrosov “scandal”. In your recent article of 23rd June 2010 you badly criticize the Russian gynaecologist “Matrosov”.
“Matrosov” works in a British clinic and writes stories about life in hospitals in a good and funny way, of course never citing the real characters and possibly inventing some of them. I would like to remind you and Mr Stewart, the “journalist” who built such a horrible picture out of “Matrosov”, that also Bulgakow, a quite famous Russian writer, was a doctor. He wrote “Stories of young doctor” based on his expertise and he also saved lives. Would you punish Bulgakov for writing literature inspired by his life? It is unacceptable to put at the same level literature fiction and real life, as Will Stewart did on his Mail Online offensive article. It is also not fare to quote only a part of the whole story and then comment it without knowing the context. “Stories of doctor Matrosov” were good literature, highly respectful towards every woman – either British or from Somalia, it did not matter for the author.
After reading the blog of “Matrosov” every reader came to believe that medicine works, and every pregnant woman could hope that everything would have been all right during her pregnancy. You, Mr. Stewart, with your deplorable article destroyed not only the literature talent and maybe the life of a good doctor, but you also ruined faith in common sense and wisdom of British press. I really hope, you will recall your article.
P.S. The blog of Dr. “Matrosov”dix_medvedoux is not reachable anymore from 2 days and I believe a piece of good online Russian literature is now lost.

Violet Albina Gibson (1876 – 2 maggio 1956) figlia di Edward Gibson, primo Barone di Ashbourne e Lord Cancelliere d’Irlanda, è stata la donna che il 7 aprile 1926 attentò alla vita di Benito Mussolini a Roma.
Mussolini era appena uscito dal palazzo del Campidoglio, dove aveva inaugurato un congresso di chirurgia, quando la Gibson gli sparò un colpo di pistola, ferendolo di striscio al naso.
Gibson, faticosamente sottratta al linciaggio, fu condotta in questura; interrogata, non rivelò la ragione dell’attentato. Si è supposto che l’attentatrice, allora cinquantenne, fosse pazza all’epoca dei fatti e che potesse essere stata indotta al gesto da qualche istigatore sconosciuto. In tal senso furono sollevati pesanti sospetti all’indirizzo di Giovanni Antonio Colonna di Cesarò. L’attentatrice, comunque, fu espulsa dall’Italia e trasferita in Inghilterra. Rimase per trent’anni in un manicomio vicino a Nottingham, dove morì.
Il giorno dopo l’attentato, Mussolini compì un viaggio in Libia e si mostrò a Tripoli con un vistoso cerotto sul naso, come testimoniano le foto dell’epoca. Di lì a poco anche quell’episodio servì per giustificare una stretta legislativa e l’avvio vero e proprio verso il fascismo.
