I leave you, productive society
Another dreamer gives up
I leave you to live
I leave you to love
I leave you because I love the night
and I do not care the morning having gold in its mouth
I leave you for the light of the candles in the night
I leave you for the satisfaction of the music played
when everybody sleeps planning its future tomorrow
I leave you, productive society
because I surely realized you deny life
you deny dreams
you deny
I leave you to those poor men
believing in success
and power
and command
as being witness of a God who doesn’t exist.
Being my God told to say: live like a bird
And so I will.

Who knows me, knows how much time did I invest in my job in the last years. No evenings at home, no week ends, and this year no holidays, too. The projects I am involved in, or my low intelligence level, required so. Almost three months ago I sent my project for revision to my supreme leader. He possibly changed his priorities towards my project, or he never had any, as his necessary revision is not yet on the table. I start to doubt if I will ever get some revision. No revision, no result, time wasted. Nice prospective.
So, I find myself having a lot of boring time to fill up. Writing application letters for new jobs makes this time even worst, as I got no positive answer yet after many (and I mean MANY) CVs sent around the world.
It is terrible to be just above 30 and to feel completely useless for my own and society development. I really envy the previous generation of workers, sitting in the same company for all their life. I know blaming old choices or crying on myself will possibly not solve any problem – but for time to time I need it – before it is too late.
…a Imola nel 1998, al massimo gli cadeva il microfono. L’eta’ avanza per tutti
povero Vasco …
This evening, while eating a pizza with tartufo at the pizzeria, I got this astonishing enlightenment. Let me quickly explain the following equations and the truth about the real essence of “work”!
Phi(W)=frustration at work; t=time; a=duration of your job contract in years; W(t)=work; sigma(t)=satisfaction
alpha(n)=achievement; n=number of achievements
F=force; d=displacement
From these 3 easy equations, two expected conclusions and one amazing and revolutionary postulate are obtained:
If (n) of achievements equals to zero, or if time t tends to infinite, frustration Phi(w) goes infinite. More unexpected, if the force F applied to work W is zero, frustration is zero! The postulate is: do not work and live happily!
I never liked the new Firefox 3.0
1) It crashes more frequently than the last 2.xx (which NEVER crashed)
2) It’s damn’ slow on my eeePC
3) My pictures loaded on flickr.com look almost completely DESATURATED with the new Firefox – not with Explorer, not with the old Firefox
Do I have to switch to Explorer? My flickr.com pictures look like if I left them on a sunny week in my car – only when I browse them with the new Firefox …
Any help?
What a nice daily hiking today on the north side of the Walensee. 12 brave men and women who managed to wake up before the sunrise, 12 hours of tough and beautiful paths through colorful autumn forests. No cold, no fatigue, no wine could stop them!
I love it when a plan comes together.
Here the reportage on flickr.com
This year we excluded Italy, Spain, Chile, Argentina and most of France. We surely like many wines from these countries, but we hardly managed last years to try something else
So, this year we focused mainly on Germany, Austria ans Switzerland and we’ve been very positively surprised by:
PETITE ARVINE DU VALAIS 2008 (CH)
PAIEN (HEIDA) DU VALAIS 2007 (CH)
HUMAGNE BLANC 2008 (CH)
ZIZERSER PINOT NOIR 2008 (CH)
WEISSER BURGUNDER SAAR 2007 (D)
ZINFANDEL 2007 (USA)
GRUENE VELTLINER BREITER RAIN 2008 (A)
LAURENT DE COLON BLANC DE BLANCS BRUT 1999 (F)
TRIA CANOR TRIMMISER CUVEE 2007 (CH)
Give them a nice try to this very interesting wine exhibition!
Again, disgusting news involving Italian police, drug, torture and death. Another guy, Stefano Cucchi, has been tortured and beaten to death possibly after being put in jail, waiting for a process on drug consumption. In Italy politicians can have cocaine parties, while citizens are killed because of small amounts of drugs. Be careful if you go to Italy for holidays, you could be the next one falling down the stairs in the jail, breaking your spine, your skull, your arms and legs, your spleen… Some Italian ministers declared they fully trust the way Italian police works. They said exactly the same after the G8 in Genoa.
After 1 month I used it both in Europe and USA, I can say:
- Call quality and voice quality is ALWAYS excellent
- Where many other mobile phones do not find the network, my Nokia 6700 ALWAYS does
- When I have now a plastic mobile phone in my hand, I really appreciate the metal shell of mine
- The GPS is quite slow to find satellites from time to time, but it brought me where I needed with the free maps you can download online
- The 5MP camera is ok, but i prefer my Canon EOS 450D ![]()
- I am positively surprised by the MP3 audio quality, but probably because my last phone was very old
- There are for sure longer lasting batteries than this one, but this one is still ok: I’ve to recharge approx. every 3 days.
- Very useful the possibility to recharge the phone via USB
- The keypad is not the best; it is true that the last line is quite small: this is the most annoying feature of this mobile phone. Nevertheless, you CAN write SMS with one hand only.
So, if you need a reliable and solid phone for excellent quality voice calls, this is it!
