Of course, it is very possible my black mood somehow keeps me away from Christmas. Nevertheless, never before this year I felt how Christmas is merely celebrated as shopping and/or pagan event. Shopping centers ARE Christmas, shops make cheap parodies of “O du fröliche” with “Oh you, cheap” and they write in capital letters “Thank God it’s Christmas” on their windows (referring to Queen or money?). If this is not enough, some bright teachers in Italy rename Christmas “Festa delle luci” (“Party of the lights”) and replace Christmas songs with “Funga Alafia” from Ghana: “Funga Alafia, ache, ache,Funga Alafia, ache, ache. La la la Alafia Hey Hey Hey La. La la la Alafia. Hey Hey Hey Hey La”.

Probably I am just getting old … Nevertheless, I wonder where the success of these women comes from. To me, being older than 30, they look like good looking women making money showing boobs and assess (and – some – talent of course) – striking examples of emancipated women of the new century Were the MTV awards sponsored by Victoria’s secrets?
