How often could you climb up 1100 meter and relax having a swim? Today with our friend D. we had a wonderful hike Lorana stile (wake up when you like, stop by eating berries when you like, finish the hike whenever it’s due) between Einsiedeln and Sihlseeli. Quite 8 hours long trek (click here for the GPS tracking) and a gorgeous bath in the Sihlseeli (Small Sihl lake) at about 1900 meters high. Cold water around 10°C, fishes … and Stasia Click here for our picture set on flick.com
The day could not finish better than having a great dinner in Einsielden at Restaurant Klostergarten-Einsiedeln. Our personal local beer ranking list:
1. Einsiedeln Beer
2. Einsielden Lager
3. Maisgold Beer
Enojy them with fish or lamb!

What a nice daily hiking today on the north side of the Walensee. 12 brave men and women who managed to wake up before the sunrise, 12 hours of tough and beautiful paths through colorful autumn forests. No cold, no fatigue, no wine could stop them! I love it when a plan comes together.

Which in English means: the 11 hours long hiking! We woke up a 5:45am; we went back to bed at 1:45am. We started in Bettmer, we finished in Fiesch.
Except for the psycho-physical alterations our brains and bodies suffered, we experienced this Sunday one of the most beautiful hiking we ever had, most of it aside (and on!) the largest European glacier: the Aletschgletscher.
